Yesterday was a great match, unless you were a weather forecaster or a no-shoot.

Registration is $25, set up starting at 7pm on Friday. Registration on Saturday 8-9am.

Course details:
The MDPL requires all shooters to have some form of holster training. This course, an IPSC Black Badge, PPC accreditation or active military/LEO credentials are also accepted. If you’re at all interested in IPSC you might instead want to take the Black Badge course.
On Saturday morning we’ll review safety and essential rules. After a break for lunch we’ll spend about 4 hours on the range doing drills and practicing skills. If we have time I will set up some small stages and we’ll shoot a mini-match.

Course participants must be Canadian Shooting Sports Association (CSSA) members. The course is $50 + mandatory CSSA membership ($45) for a total of $95. I can take cash, cheque (made out to CSSA) or credit card.
Required Equipment:
* ‘Stock’ handgun and 2 magazines / 3 speedloaders (minimum)
>>> (4 or more magazines recommended)
* Belt Holster (no shoulder rigs, no ‘speed’/open holsters)
>>> (Belt ammo carriers also recommended – i.e. mag pouches)
* Concealed carry belt strongly recommended
* 200 rounds of ammo minimum (300 recommended)
* Concealment garment (vest, jacket etc…)
* Eye & ear protection
The course will cover:
* Rules, and range commands
* Range safety
* Drawing from a holster, drawing from concealment
* Target engagement
* Shooting from cover, shooting on the move
* Reloads (tactical reload, reload with retention)
